Advance in partnership with Flowcrete

From a standing start, Advance has thrived, and this success culminated with the gaining of the prestigious Isocrete license in August 2001, winning licensee of the year in 2002/2003.

The license allows Advance to promote and procure the full range of Isocrete products. For a full list of these products, please refer to our technical section. More recently, Advance became an improved installer of Iso rubber. This is a new product which meets the stringent specifications detailed in E-FC-4.

All of the works undertaken by Advance are backed up by the ISO9001:2000 accreditation. This was awarded in May 2007.

Health & Safety

At Advance, the health and safety of our entire workforce, and that of our working partners, is of paramount importance.

Our commitment to CSCS has now achieved 100% compliance throughout out business.

We believe that a competent site team is important to the effective completion of our package works, in order to achieve this we have provided training to our teams which now sees at least one member of each team holding a CITB SSSTS supervisors qualification. Our supervisors are supported by a team of visiting managers qualified to CITB SMSTS Standard

In January 2009 we achieved CHAS accreditation, which has been renewed for 2010.

Our investment in our equipment has seen the purchase of 6 new screed pumps in the last 2 years. To keep this equipment in top condition we employ in house a fully qualified technician

Training

We understand that our staff and operatives are our main asset. We actively encourage the gaining of further qualifications. We ensure that all of our contract managers are qualified to at least CITB SMSTS. Our operations manager is at the forefront of this ethos and is qualified to NEBOSH: National Certificate for Construction Safety & Health and also NEBOSH: Certificate for Fire Safety and Risk Management, and is a Technician Member of IOSH

To develop our on site staff, in addition to the SSSTS, over 30 our screeders have now achieved an NVQ2 qualification in ‘Specialist Concrete Operations – Insitu Flooring – Screed. Our operatives also receive in house training on the safe use of our screed pumps.
